Arcade Ruler started from a simple obsession: handheld gaming.

We’ve spent way too much time testing emulators, tweaking settings, comparing devices, loading up old favorites, and finding the handhelds that actually feel good to use. From Game Boy and GBA classics to PlayStation, Dreamcast, arcade titles and beyond, we love having entire generations of gaming in the palm of your hand.

Arcade Ruler is our way of sharing that enthusiasm.

We look for handheld systems that offer a great balance of performance, design, nostalgia and value, then bring our favorites together in one place. Whether you’re revisiting games you grew up with or discovering retro systems for the first time, the goal is simple: make retro gaming easy, portable and fun.

We’re not trying to reinvent gaming. We just really like handhelds.

We focus on products we think are genuinely interesting to retro gaming fans, from pocket-sized emulation devices to more powerful handheld systems. Because many of these devices come from independent manufacturers and suppliers around the world, product availability, packaging, included accessories and software configurations can occasionally vary.

Arcade Ruler operates as an independent online retailer and may work with third-party fulfillment partners and suppliers to ship certain products directly to customers. This allows us to offer a wider selection without maintaining every product in our own warehouse.
